Red-tailed hawk ironically stuck in high-flying trampoline: Parma Heights Police Blotter - cleveland.com

PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio

Animal Complaint, Beverly Drive: On March 4, a concerned Beverly Drive animal lover called police about a large hawk caught in part of their backyard trampoline.

An arriving animal control officer successfully assisted the red-tailed hawk, which had suffered some head trauma.

The officer transported the bird to the Lake Erie Nature Center, where it was suspected to have bird flu.

As a precaution, the hawk was then transferred to Emerald Animal Hospital for further care.

Disturbance, Pearl Road: On March 4, police were dispatched to City Hall regarding a disturbance call.

An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said an 80-year-old Parma Heights resident was refusing to leave the lobby.

The man had been harassing the clerk of council over a traffic ticket.

He was informed that the matter was being handled by the Parma Municipal Court.

The officer also told the resident he could only return to City Hall with a scheduled appointment, and failure to comply would result in arrest for trespassing.

Disturbance, Pearl Road: On March 4, police were dispatched to Hertz regarding a customer acting disruptively and refusing to leave the Pearl Road rental agency.

An arriving officer located the suspect, who advised of criminal trespassing and banned from all Hertz locations.

Theft, Ridgewood Drive: On March 3, police were dispatched to a Ridgewood Drive address after a resident reported someone used his EBT card to purchase unauthorized items.

There are no suspects. Police are investigating.

Trespassing, Lawndale Drive: On March 3, a Lawndale Drive resident called police about a man trespassing on his property.

An arriving officer located the suspect.

The Parma man was advised about trespassing on the property.

Theft, Stumph Road: On March 3, a Stumph Road resident called police after discovering items were stolen from outside of her residence.

There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
